D'Agres will shortly retire on pension from the Hongkong service, and I am to ask that steps may be taken for awarding him whatever pension he may be entitled to receive from the Govt. of India, under the rules referred to in Lord Kimberley's despatch to the Governor General of India (Financial No. 134 dated 14th April 1881), a copy of which was communicated to this office in your letter No. 132 dated 14th April 1881.
As soon as the exact date of D'Agre's retirement is fixed, a further communication will be addressed.
